Know what's in your skin care

Every ingredient in great detail

base formula

Possibly the most important ingredient. Water intensively moisturizes and makes it possible for moisture to be stored long-term. Dryness lines and wrinkles are noticeably dimished. The complexion appears fresher and plumper.

Water is primarily used as a solvent in cosmetics and personal care products in which it dissolves many of the ingredients that impart skin benefits, such as conditioning agents and cleansing agents. Water also forms emulsions in which the oil and water components of the product are combined to form creams and lotions.

Caprylic triglyceride is an ingredient used in soaps and cosmetics. It’s usually made from combining coconut oil with glycerin. This ingredient is sometimes called capric triglyceride. It’s also sometimes mistakenly called fractionated coconut oil.

Caprylic triglyceride has been widely used for more than 50 years. It helps smooth skin and works as an antioxidant. It also binds other ingredients together, and can work as a preservative of sorts to make the active ingredients in cosmetics last longer.

Caprylic triglyceride is valued as a more natural alternative to other synthetic chemicals found in topical skin products. Companies that claim that their products are “all natural” or “organic” often contain caprylic triglyceride.

Stearic acid is an emollient, meaning it works by softening and smoothing the skin. (Other examples of common emollients include jojoba oil, ceramides, and squalane.) In short, this is why it’s used to add moisturizing properties to products.

Glycerin is great for the skin because it acts as a humectant, which is a substance that allows the skin to retain moisture. It can increase skin hydration, relieve dryness, and refresh the skin’s surface. It’s also an emollient, which means it can soften skin.

In cosmetics and personal care products, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water and Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Water function as a skin conditioning agents. They enhance the appearance of dry or damaged skin and help to reduce flaking and restores the suppleness of skin.

Attracts water: Zeichner says at low concentrations, propylene glycol acts like a humectant, which means it binds water and pulls in hydration to the outer skin layer. When used in cosmetic products, it helps give the skin a hydrated, dewy appearance.

Palmitoyl tripeptide-38 is a matrikine-mimetic compound that regulates cell activity, wound repair and collagen tissue remodeling. it stimulates six major constituents of the skin matrix and the dermal-epidermal junction to plump fine lines and boost skin repair.

Topical treatments containing this peptide have shown a significant increase in dermal density and elasticity. first visible wrinkle smoothing results were achieved in as little as one week.

amino acids

L-Lysine: Skin conditioning agent. Involved in cellular and tissue repair. Essential amino acid needed for collagen production.

Studies show that Lysine helps build collagen in the skin . Collagen is the structure responsible for your skin’s elasticity and firmness. Given these benefits, it’s natural to wonder what lysine could do for your acne.

L-Histidine: Protects the body from radiation and sun damage. Antioxidant, which neutralizes free radicals helping to prevent skin cell damage.

Histidine is a essential amino acid which plays a vital role in ensuring the skin is at its healthiest state. Rich in antioxidant properties, histidine can provide protection to the skin from any harm caused by free radicals your skin comes into contact throughout the day.

L-Arginine: Speeds the healing of skin cell damage and wounds.

Arginine is known for its anti-aging effects and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Arginine keeps your skin firm, plump and smooth. Arginine hydrates dry skin and restores moisture. Arginine is known for its anti-aging effects and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

L-Aspartic Acid: Involved in building skin cell DNA (genetic
structure in the nucleolus).

Aspartic acid is an amino acid that can help strengthen skin’s natural defense system, making it less likely to show signs of aging from environmental damage.

L-Threonine: Important for the formation of collagen and elastin.

Threonine is an amino acid that also provides anti-aging and hydration benefits when used as a skin care ingredient. It’s categorized as an  “essential” amino acid, meaning it can’t be produced by the body and must come from an outside source.

L-Serine: Important in formation of cell membranes.

Serine is mostly used in the cosmetic industry as a conditioning agent. It is anti static and quite gentle. Amino acids are known to boost collagen production, increase skin’s elasticity and retain moisture. It is used as texture enhancer in skin care and hair care.

L-Glutamine:  Helps prevent muscle and tissue breakdown.

When applied topically,  L-Glutamine can help to heal and hydrate your skin, increase skin cell turnover, produce more collagen, and act as antioxidants to protect your skin from environmental stressors.

L-Proline: Important in maintaining radiant and youthful skin.

Proline is an amino acid that is primarily used in anti-aging skin care products because of its ability to improve skin elasticity, increase collagen production, and promote skin repair and regeneration.

It is an essential component of collagen and is important for proper functioning of joints and tendons.

L-Glycine: Repairs damaged tissue and promotes healing.

Glycine is an amino acid that is primarily used in anti-aging skincare products because of its ability to improve moisture retention, increase collagen production, and promote skin repair and regeneration. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins.

L-Alanine: Important in protein synthesis.

In skincare, alanine is known to balance moisture levels on the skin, thus providing improved hydration. For this reason, alanine is often implemented in cosmetic and moisturizing products such as foundations, lotions, creams, and serums.

L-Valine: Branched chain amino acid. Important for muscular and tissue strength.

This is an essential amino acid meaning it must be introduced to your body thru diet or applied topically with your skincare products. This amino acid can help strengthen the building blocks that make up the skin as well as locking in water and hydrating the skin.

L-Methionine: Neutralizes free radicals and fights aging of the skin.

Methionine is an essential amino acid in humans. Methionine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that also improves the tone and elasticity of the skin, promotes healthy hair and strengthens the nails.

L-Isoleucine: Branched chain amino acid. Important in protein synthesis and tissue repair.

Isoleucine is used in skin care cosmetics as an anti-aging active ingredient, among other things. The amino acid promotes the skin’s natural ability to regenerate, thus strengthening the skin barrier. Isoleucine also stimulates cell renewal in the deeper skin layers and provides more resilience and elasticity.

L-Leucine: Branched chain amino acid. Protects against muscle protein breakdown.

It’s used in the biosynthesis of proteins. Thanks to this ability, Leucine is an ingredient being used in anti-aging skin care products. It is thought to help regenerate aging skin and reduce fine lines and sagging skin; it is said to create firmer, more supple skin and increase elasticity by repairing aging skin tissue. Leucine also aids in wound healing.

L-Tyrosine: A building block of proteins used to help the moisturizing products penetrate the skin. Converted by skin cells into melanin that protects against harmful effects of UV light.

Tyrosine is in all tissues of the human body and in most of its fluids. It helps the body build proteins and produce enzymes, thyroid hormones, and the skin pigment melanin.

L-Phenylalanine: Building blocks for various proteins. It can be converted to L-Tyrosine.

Phenylalanine is a compound that includes amino acids and lipid residue, used in cosmetics and personal care products, specifically whitening formulas, to prevent skin cells from producing melanin pigmentation. Basically it  evens skin tone.

L-Acetyl Tyrosine: Highly bio-available form of L-Tyrosine, a building block of protein.

Acetyl tyrosine gets converted into melanin, the pigment that gives skin and hair color. This property makes it a good option for skin tone products.  Used by the beauty industry to prevent hyperpigmentation, dark spots and other such skin issues.

Anti Microbial
Fragrance and ph support

1,2-Octanediol, also known as caprylyl glycol, is a diol with the molecular formula CH₃(CH₂)₅CHOHCH₂OH. It is a common component of many creams and ointments, where it is used as a skin conditioning agent. It is also noted to have some antimicrobial ability.

Polysorbate 60 is a synthetic ingredient that is used in cosmetics and skincare to improve the texture and sensory feel of formulations. It is used in products as a surfactant, emulsifier, and solubilizer. Polysorbate 60 is produced by the ethoxylation of sorbitan.

Sorbitan Sesquioleate is used in a variety of products including skin care products, skin cleansing products, moisturizers, eye makeup and other makeup, primarily as an emollient. It is added to formulas as a skin soother and moisturizer and is derived from sorbitol, a humectant.

Cetearyl alcohol is used to help soften the skin and hair and to thicken and stabilize cosmetic products, such as lotions and hair products. … Not only is it considered safe and nontoxic for use on the skin and hair, but it’s also not drying or irritating like other types of alcohol

Disodium EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a water soluble acid that is a strong emulsion stabilizer with chelating properties. … Disodium EDTA protects the integrity of skincare products from undergoing unwanted consistency changes, pH changes, odor changes, or texture changes

Carbomer is a term used for a series of polymers primarily made from acrylic acid. The Carbomers are white, fluffy powders but are frequently used as gels in cosmetics and personal care products. Carbomers can be found in a wide variety of product types including skin, hair, nail, and makeup products, as well as dentifrices.

TriethanolamineTriethanolamine is used in many cosmetic products to help balance pH levels, as well as to act as a cleansing base. It’s also used as a fragrance ingredient, = surfactant – emulsifying agent, buffering, emulsifying, masking, and surfactant.

Phenoxyethanol is a preservative used in many cosmetics and personal care products. You may have a cabinet full of products containing this ingredient in your home, whether you know it or not. Chemically, phenoxyethanol is known as a glycol ether, or in other words, a solvent

Ethylhexylglycerin is a multifunctional cosmetic ingredient used as an active component in deodorants, as an emollient and humectant in skin care, and boosting the anti-microbial performance of other ingredients to protect products from spoilage.

Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol and Dipropylene Glycol are clear, practically colorless, liquids. 1. I’ve been using this for about 2 years, just when they first started. I am 67 years old. I won’t go a day without it. A little goes a long way. Use it morning and night ,it’s not oily and feels great. To this day, people guess my age at 45 and I claim it’s this product.
